If you truly want range above all else, this is the scope for you. Long range shooters that can steady their gun for precise aim will have all the magnification they can handle.
For some, this scope is simply going to be too much magnification. At the lowest setting, 8x, your mil-dot is going to be floating around the bullseye at 100 yards, so make sure you want all of that. Field of view is extremely limited, unless you want to mount an additional low power spotter on top.
If you want magnification, this scope will give you a clear picture, if a little dim, for a long way. The 44mm objective is hardly optimal at 32x, but not so bad that you shouldn’t be able to pick out targets during the day. Great for popping rams across an 800 yard valley.
