VIDEO: Comedian Steven Crowder Talks “Common Sense” Gun Control to Random People on the Street
If you’re a believer in the Second Amendment and you believe in the freedom to keep firearms, you need to watch this. You might already know just how dumb most people are about guns and this video goes to prove it.
Anti-gun politicians love to use words like “assault rifle” and “fully semi-automatic”. The sad thing is that ordinary Americans don’t have a clue about what those terms mean.
In the video, comedian and talk radio host Steven Crowder sets up a tent on a busy street and asks people walking by to sign a petition to implement “common sense gun control” measures.
On the table is an assortment of handguns, shotguns and rifles including an AK-47 and an AR-15. He asks people to tell him which guns should be banned and which are acceptable to own.
The results may surprise you.
Protect Your Gun Rights
We think this video is a real eye-opener for gun owners everywhere across the U.S.
The fact is that there are so many Americans that believe in “common sense” gun regulation but they don’t have a clue about the guns themselves.
In fact, most of the people in the video were OK with banning “scary-looking” firearms like the AK-47 and AR-15, yet they were just fine keeping most of the handguns on the table which lead to over 70% of gun murders in the United States.
After the Clinton gun ban (hopefully the last of its kind), gun murder rates have remained relatively flat.
So is this an eye-opener for us 2A advocates? The answer is YES.
Knowledge is power and we need to make sure that we’re telling some of our non-gun-0wning neighbors and friends the TRUTH about firearms.
I think part of that is really being open to discussion with other people about guns even if they don’t have a clue.
Shutting people down (as Crowder does with people who say they own guns in the video) isn’t a reasonable and civilized way to discuss this very serious topic that threatens to take away our freedoms.
Also remember to vote accordingly for those candidates that appeal to you and the rights that you’d like to continue to have. The most important thing? Make an effort to actually go out and vote for your rights this election cycle!
