Let’s take a look at some of the best AR-15 accessories that will go great with any AR rifle below.

1. Laser Sights

Um…duh! We are Gun Laser Guide after all! So the question is: “Why do I need a laser sight for my AR-15?”

Well there are a lot of reasons to get a laser sight but here are a few ways how a laser sight can help on your AR:

  • Faster target acquisition – a laser sight can help you find your target faster than looking down iron sights – and fire from the hip accurately
  • Excellent for home defense – just because YOU can acquire a target quickly and fire accurately does not mean that your kids or spouse can; a laser sight can help them use your AR if you’re not able to
  • Fear factor – as Americans, we’ve been trained since birth to relate laser sights and red dots to special forces weapons…burglars and bad guys feel the same way and might think twice if they see that your rifle has a laser

Our Favorite Laser Sight for AR-15?

Well, that’s a tough one but we really like the Ozark Armament Green Laser Sight for ARs. It good for your wallet and for your gun so it’s definitely a win-win.

2. Tactical Flashlight

This might be one of THE best accessories that you’ll ever buy for your AR, especially if it’s being used as a home defense weapon.

A good flashlight for your AR will help you see in low-light situations and blind anyone that’s on the other end of your rifle.

We recently wrote a whole post about the best flashlights for AR-15 but our favorite is the Surefire weapon light for AR-15.

3. Bipod

If you want a cool looking accessory for your AR and you want something that is going to be functional at the range, then get a bipod for your AR-15.

Lots of the newer bipods for AR out there come with spring loaded legs for easy operation and they’re all actually made very well.

Check out our post on the best bipod for AR-15 or take a look at our #1 pick which is the UTG Tactical Bipod.

4. Foregrip

Some people love them, some people hate them, but we freaking love foregrips on AR-15s. Nothing to me feels more comfortable on a 16″ rifle like a good foregrip that’s going to get those groups tight.

Our favorite is the Ade Advanced foregrip and flashlight combo but also make sure to check out our comprehensive guide to AR-15 foregrips.

5. Red Dot Sight

If you’re just using iron sights, you’re missing out. The AR-15 platform can make for a VERY accurate rifle and what makes it accurate is a good optic (at least partially, YOU still have to shoot it).

If you’re looking for an affordable optic for your AR, make sure to check out the Bushnell TRS for red dot sights. They work great on ARs and are tough as nails for under $100.

So There You Have It

There’s our list of the best accessories for AR-15 that are both cool and practical. We know that lots of folks really like A2 style rifles and are very traditional with just iron sights but this guide is meant for those of us that got an itch that needs to be scratched! I don’t know about you, but I am always looking to find the perfect accessory for my AR rifles.
