Best Gun Laser/Light Combos

Anytime you are looking into upgrading your rifle or pistol, more than likely, one of the first upgrades you are looking for is an excellent sight.

One that will not only help you pinpoint your target with accuracy but can also be multi-use.

Having a laser/light combo already puts you ahead of the game, instantly providing a great laser sight so you can shoot any time of the day, but also a flashlight so you can either navigate in the dark or spot something you are searching for.

When it comes to laser/light combinations, you will find most of them are made of similar material, so then the key is finding the ones with the best construction, durability, and best laser sights to guarantee your sight will work flawlessly no matter the situation.

Keeping this in mind, here are some of our very favorite laser/light combos.

DefendTek rechargeable Rail Mounted Laser Sight Combo

The DefendTek is a fantastic option for those who are wanting a straightforward laser/light combination.

The aircraft-grade aluminum housing is lightweight and dust resistant. The flashlight is a surprisingly powerful LED light that has a wide flood pattern, making it very easy to see a large area in the dark.

The DefendTek also offers an LED strobe function, which would work very well to disorient an attacker if needed. The red laser is bright and powerful, making it easy to pinpoint your target both in bright and low-light situations.

Mounting is easy since this laser/light combo is rail mounted and also offers quick release feature and tactical bezel.

The strobe and lights are powered by a rechargeable battery, while the laser sight requires single-use batteries that will need to be swapped out every so often.

Overall, the DefendTek is an excellent value; the only thing to be aware of is that this model will not fit compact or subcompact firearms.

Ade Advanced Optics Tactical Compact Laser with Flashlight

Like the DefendTek, the Ade Tactical Compact Laser is simple and is an excellent option for those wanting a laser and flashlight combination that is simple and easy to use, without a lot of extra parts.

Intending to fit a wide range of firearms, the Ade will fit any standard sized Picatinny or weaver rail.

The quick attach/detach feature also means you can swap it out between your guns without added hassle. The quick-release is a great feature, but since it is built to suit a variety of rails, the fit is just a little loose.

Overall, this is not a huge issue, but it does mean that you will need to zero in your sight more often.

To avoid this, we recommend not using the quick release and instead anchoring it down with the secure screw; once it’s tightened down, it will stay zeroed without issue.

The flashlight is 200 lumens, so the beam will give excellent visibility, though it will not have the same level of intensity as any of the 300-lumen options.

The red dot laser is easy to see during the day or at night, and the Ade also has a toggle that allows you to switch between just the flashlight, only the laser, or a combination of them both.

The Ade is built with both airplane grade aluminum and steel, meaning it has excellent durability, but it is also a bit on the larger side, which may or may not work for you.

Overall, this is a great, affordable laser sight and light combo.

Streamlight 69240 TLR-4 Tactical Light with Laser Sight

The Streamlight 69240 TLR-4 is built to be lightweight and compact, aiming to give excellent performance without weighing your handgun down.

Part of the reason for the slight weight is that it is made with impact-resistant polymer for the main body and anodized aluminum for the face cap.

Keeping ease of use in mind, the TLR-4 is made to be able to attach and remove one-handed and also provides an ambidextrous on/off switch so you can turn it on quickly no matter whether you prefer to shoot right or left-handed and toggle through the different modes.

The TLR-4 has settings for the light, laser, and a light and laser combination. When using either the laser sight or the flashlight, the battery life is excellent, but when using both in tandem, we have noticed that while the battery life is supposed to last for 1.5 hours during dual-use, it drains a bit quicker than that.

The flashlight, while only 125 lumens, is made of all LED bulbs, so it is surprisingly bright and has a nice flood pattern that will light up even the darkest of corners, and the bulb is meant to function for 50,000 hours, so it is built to last.

Viridian C5L Universal Green Laser Sight and Tac Light

The Viridian C5L is a great laser sight and flashlight combo, especially for home defense situations.

The sight itself is small and sleek, sliding onto the rail and sitting against the trigger guard to give the laser and light optimal room to function.

The laser sight is a vibrant green dot that is easy to spot at up to 100 yards in daylight hours and up to 2 miles at night, making sighting in on your target quick and efficient.

The CL5 offers laser, light, strobe, and combination options making it excellent to use in almost any situation.

Overall, the battery life is very good if used in either laser, light, or strobe modes, but does drain relatively rapidly if you are using the laser and light together.

The C5L also comes with an ECR instant-on feature, which automatically turns the laser sight on or off when it is inserted or removed from the ECR instant-on holster.

The only possible cons for the CL5 is that it is explicitly built for compact or sub-compact handguns, which excludes those who own a full-sized gun, and that the only way to utilize the instant-on feature is to use the ECR holster.
